Performing Thursday Sept. 16:

Julian Sparacino

Saxophonist Julian Sparacino is a versatile musician in many ways. He has studied woodwind instruments with Dave Liebman and George Young, and performed with all types of ensembles in the areas of Jazz, Classical, Pop, Rock, R&B, Blues and Experimental Music. He has performed extensively as solo saxophonist. He also played clarinet and saxophone with the Meridian Symphony in Mississippi.

Mr. Sparacino has been a frequent performer on saxophone at various music festivals in past years including the Delaware Water Jazz Festival with the experimental big band Rif-Raf.

Mr. Sparacino has been exploring the performer/composer relationship. He writes pieces that "breathe," open-ended pieces which allow for various interpretations and give a performer more choices.
